- Fairmont Electroplating
was purchased by and became a division of Edmonton Electroplating
in 1990 after municipal roadway development required the closure
of Edmonton Electroplating's northeast Edmonton plant located
near the Northlands exhibitions grounds.
- Edmonton Electroplating
staff and operations were re-located to Fairmont Electroplating's
south Edmonton Plant and Head Office combining to make it
the largest supplier of bumper products and chrome plating
in Canada.
- Fairmont Electroplating's
large-scale corporate image was complimented by Edmonton Electroplating's
recognition as a smaller scale pioneer in the bumper supply
business in Northern Alberta and British Columbia.To maintain
customer's loyalty and name recognition it was decided to
keep both entities operating.
- Fairmont Electroplating
and Edmonton Electroplating are a family owned business with
61 employees and branches in Calgary, Red Deer and Saskatoon.Though
most products are produced in the Head Office/Plant in Edmonton,
all branches have plastic repair facilities and technicians.
